Meet Our Directors

Leah’s House is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Our ministry is funded solely by donations and fund-raisers. All staff members are volunteers. All residents attend free of charge.

Michelle Moyers

Executive Director

“It is my heart’s desire that every woman have a personal relationship with our Lord, Jesus Christ.”

As Founder of Leah's House, Michelle has a passion to share the Gospel and help restore women to their intended purpose in Christ. In October 2012 she obtained a small monetary donation and a house for the women. She has always taken an active role in working with the women daily. She also handles daily operations and works one-on-one with her “girls”. 

 

Amy Jolly

President

Amy is a survivor and an overcomer of abuse. She is a homeschool mom, wife and business assistant to Phil Jolly, a prayer leader and youth leader.

Also, she is Founder of Engaged Ministries, which has collaborated with R3, 51 South, and EMI to bring awareness, education, and training on human trafficking.

 

Carol Parsons-Thompson

Vice President

"I want to love these ladies and let them know they are enough in God's eyes." 

Carol has been married to Chris for almost 17 years. They have 2 wonderful teenagers, Landon and Morgan. They attend worship at First Baptist Church Nesbit. Carol has such a heart for telling others about Jesus not only by her words but mostly by her actions. That is why she is involved in the ministry at Leah's House. 

 
 
 

Janice Milam

Secretary Treasurer

Janice has 40+ years of secretarial experience and 20 years of accounting experience.  She recognizes the importance of accurate documentation and physical and digital records maintenance. She will be working closely with the board to support Leah's House to the glory of God.

 
 
 

Mishe Simmons

Director of Public Relations

In 2013, Mishe came to Leah's House with a great deal of life experience and a passion to help transform women into effective members of society. 

 
 

Jan Moore

Director of Marketing

“It has always been my goal to help victims of abuse. God sent Leah’s House knocking on my door to do just that. I am blessed to be part of such a wonderful mission to restore women to God’s true purpose.”

As a survivor of abuse, Jan has a passion for our mission to bring women to the Lord. She brings 20+ years of Marketing and Fund-Raising experience as well as many life experiences.
